Edith Wharton’s New York Tour

Join up with other admirers of the Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist, short story writer, and designer, Edith Wharton. Wharton was born at 14 West 23rd St. on January 24, 1862 and while the building is now home to a Starbucks, this Municipal Art Society of New York tour explores the neighborhoods—Madison Square and Gramercy Park—where Wharton spent her formative years and where she set The Age of Innocence, New Year’s Day and The Old Maid.
